In the course of two years Robert Grunenberg has begun to represent emerging artists such as Stefan Knauf, Brandon Lipchik, Sonja Yakovleva and Jan Zöller. These four artistic positions are building the foundation of a young gallery program. Each of the artists have found their own artistic expression within their discipline. Yet all of them represent a generation of artists, that engage with sensuality and handcraft. In the wake of the global political, economic and climatic crises, they articulate an attempt to escape the dead-ends and cyclical thinking of postmodernity. Through embracing empathy, sincerity, tenderness and social, political and institutional critique, each of the artists are proposing an artistic position in which sensual utopias can be found.
