ASPN represents artists born in the 1970s and 1980s who work with various media. As a gallery run by two women, ASPN strives to provide an equal representation of female and male artists. Queer and politically progressive positions play a primary role. While Leipzig connotes traditional painting, ASPN stands for forward-looking concepts and a contemporary discourse. We maintain contacts with international collectors of all ages who share and support the idea of the social relevance of young art. In 2019 the artists group Famed, represented by ASPN, was awarded the Villa Massimo stipend, Rome. Benedikt Leonhardt and Franziska Holstein participated in the exhibition ‘Jetzt’, travelling to museums in Bonn, Wiesbaden, Chemnitz (2019) and the Deichtorhallen Hamburg (2020).
