Ani Molnár Gallery

The works of Croatian artist Tina Gverovi and Hungarian artist Zsolt Asztalos, both of whom have represented their respective countries at the Venice Biennale, examine our relationships with the physical world by drawing attention to the materiality, tactility, malleability, and self-transformability of objects. Gverovi and Asztalos reconfigure objects as if they were sovereign musical notes, creating diverse narratives whose melodies offer an altered understanding of our past, as well as of ourselves. The resulting fragmentary narratives draw attention to individual notions of time and space. For both Gverovi and Asztalos, their own previous creations sometimes serve as objects in subsequent works.
