Our project foresees confrontations among a group of Italian artists, united by the investigation of shape as a place and space of utopia. Melotti and Munari can be likend with a definition by Baudelaire: ‘The genius is infancy formulated with sharpness.’
Paolini picks up grace and transparency in his refined study on the methods and mechanisms of creating art. Grace and transparency are also loved by Elisabetta Gut and Franca Sonnino. In Calzolari’s tense and experimental shapes, the individuality of works is at the same time both archaic and futuristic. Finally, the young artists Di Giovanni and Piangiamore are linked by research into unknown and unexplored worlds: the place that is not there, the space, every time, to invent.
