Piktogram is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 by Michał Woliński, in order to publish ‘Piktogram Talking Pictures Magazine’ and organize themed and research-based exhibitions at specifically selected venues, e.g. hotel rooms, the stock exchange building or a cinema theater. Between 2011 and 2013, Piktogram ran its own art space. In 2011, Piktogram initiated the Warsaw Gallery Weekend, and in 2015 it founded NOT FAIR. Since 2014, Piktogram has operated as a gallery, representing artists. In 2015, the gallery moved from a post-industrial building in Warsaw Praga district to downtown, where it had two venues. In 2019 Piktogram moved to a larger space in the same building.
