Kant presents ‘Everyday Objects’ with emerging artists Fabian Treiber and Daniel Jensen.
This dialogue is based on thoughts related to ‘The Object Parade’, a memoir by the American writer Dinah Lenney. Lenney spins narratives through the symbolism of the everyday objects that have nestled their way into her life. She uses these objects to trace a personal history that nods respectfully to the objects that have played an important role.
Bringing paintings by Fabian Treiber together with free-standing sculptures by Daniel Jensen relays the unpretentious and playful dimensions of their individual practices. Their shared interest in everyday objects and the undervalued bind their artistic approaches, which are without irony, but not without humour and critical observation.
