Choi&Lager Gallery

Jung Jaeho’s hyper realistic paintings of dilapidated buildings serve as a sort of documentary, capturing not only the appearance of the buildings but the private emotions and awareness associated with them. Jung delves into a myriad of topics with his works; some works seem autobiographical in recreating his childhood neighbourhood, whilst others reflect his critiques of society’s capitalistic approach to renovation and progress.
