Manfred Mohr is a pioneer of digital art. Encouraged by computer music composer Pierre Barbaud, in 1969, he turned to geometry and algorithms and began to make computer drawings with a plotter machine. Since then, Manfred Mohr has been working exclusively with computers, developing algorithms that give shape to his visual ideas. Galerie Charlot presents a selection of Manfred Mohr’s plotter drawings from 1970 to 1984 and a recently digitized algorithmic film from 1973, Cubic Limit.
